A well-established UK manufacturing and engineering business specialising in capital equipment and associated consumable products for the food manufacturing sector. The organisation has a strong position within its core market, working with major UK manufacturers as well as customers internationally. With an established product offering and ambitious plans for its next phase of growth, the business is now looking to appoint a Sales Director to lead its commercial strategy.

About the roleAs part of an exciting period of growth and leadership transition, the business is looking to appoint a Sales Director to take ownership of its commercial function and help drive the next phase of growth. Working closely with the CEO and Founder, this is a key senior appointment with responsibility for developing the sales strategy, identifying new opportunities and building on the company's established market position.

• Take overall responsibility for the sales and commercial function, developing and delivering the strategy for continued growth.
• Operate as a key member of the senior leadership team, contributing to board-level discussions and the wider direction of the business.
• Drive new business opportunities across the UK and international markets, with a particular focus on capital equipment sales.
• Develop relationships with senior decision-makers across food manufacturing, engineering and related markets.
• Manage complex, consultative sales cycles from initial opportunity through to successful conversion.
• Work closely with the CEO and Founder to identify new markets, customers and commercial opportunities.
• Provide leadership across the customer-facing operation, including the customer support engineering function.
• Bring a strategic approach to sales while remaining commercially hands-on and capable of personally winning significant new business.

What you will get in this role

• Circa £80,000 basic salary, negotiable depending on experience.
• 25% bonus, providing an OTE of approximately £100,000 at an £80,000 basic salary.
