The team directly employs over 150 multi-trade operatives and specialist support staff, providing services to more than 6,300 residential properties as well as a wide range of public buildings, including schools, offices, libraries and community facilities.

Your new role

As a Stores Operative, you will be an integral part of the Building Services team, supporting the efficient operation of the DLO through the effective management, storage and distribution of materials, tools and equipment.Your Duties may include

• Receiving deliveries from suppliers, including manually unloading vehicles when required.
• Checking goods received against delivery documentation and resolving discrepancies.
• Assisting with stock control activities to ensure materials are available to support operational requirements.
• Picking, packing and issuing materials and equipment for trade operatives on a daily basis.
• Supporting regular stocktaking activities and inventory audits.
• Responding to enquiries from supervisors and operational staff, providing excellent customer service at all times.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will be a reliable and organised individual with experience working in a store, warehouse, logistics or materials management environment.

• Previous experience in a store, warehouse or stock control role.
• Good IT skills and experience using computerised stock management systems.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• The ability to accurately receive, process and issue stock.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
