Job description

About

St Davids is the smallest city in Britain, and the Pembrokeshire peninsula around it has more holiday cottages than anywhere else we are advertising. Owners go away and visitors come and go. We want three self-employed pet sitters who can cover the peninsula and towards Haverfordwest, caring for dogs in their owners' own homes.

You are not here to walk dogs for an hour. You are here to keep the dog's day normal when the owner is not. Visits morning and evening, nights in the house, or a full week. Follow the routine, feed the dog, give any medication, let it out, walk it, keep it company and send a daily update.

Pricing is up to you, per visit and per night. Money from owners comes through the app and is paid out to your bank. WoofWalk is not an employer: no wage is paid, and bookings are not guaranteed. In effect you run your own business. Tax, National Insurance and insurance are for you to cover. We have no sitting price for Pembrokeshire from our research.

Boarding has its own rule. Dogs staying at your own address means home boarding, which needs a licence from the council first, and it is a separate service in the app. At the owner's cottage or farm no licence is needed.

It costs nothing to join. There is no commission for 14 days, then 15% on each booking. Five of your own clients joining through you cuts it to 10% for life. Clients you bring yourself pay 10% from the moment they book.

Over 18. Apply on Find a Job with the places you can reach and whether overnight stays are fine.
