Sitting, not walking. If you are the sort of person Norwich owners hand a spare key to, this is for you. We want three self-employed people to look after dogs in their own homes while the owners are away: feeding, letting out, walking and keeping the dog company in the place it knows.

Some bookings are two short visits a day. Others are a weekend or a week of nights. People tend to rebook the sitter who answers messages quickly, turns up when promised and sends a daily update without being asked.

First, what WoofWalk is. It is a booking app, and it is not your employer. We pay no wage and cannot promise you bookings. You name your own price per visit and per night, owners book and pay through the app, and your earnings are paid out to your bank account. Keeping up your tax, National Insurance and insurance is your responsibility.

Public sitter listings put a home visit in Norwich at about £16 and a night of home boarding at about £35.

Before anything else on licences: dogs staying at your address is home boarding, which needs a council licence before you accept a booking and is a separate service in the app. Looking after a dog at the owner's address brings no licensing requirement.

How WoofWalk earns its keep: nothing to join, no commission for 14 days, then 15% of each booking. Once five clients of your own have joined through you, you pay 10% for life. Clients you recruit yourself start at 10% on day one.
