Here's what you'll be doing:

Draft press releases, briefing documents and internal communications that hold up to scrutiny

Build and maintain relationships with journalists and media contacts across relevant trade and national outlets

Support the delivery of integrated PR campaigns alongside senior colleagues

Monitor coverage and sentiment, flagging issues before they become problems

Coordinate internal stakeholders to keep messaging consistent across departments

Contribute to crisis communications planning when required

Here are the skills you'll need:

A couple of years' experience in a PR, communications or journalism role

Strong written English with an eye for tone and accuracy

Comfortable working to deadlines without losing quality

Good instincts for what makes a story newsworthy, and what doesn't

Confidence liaising with senior stakeholders and external media

Organised enough to run several workstreams at once
