Secondary Cover Supervisor (No Marking/Planning Required)

We are looking for confident, adaptable, and engaging individuals to support secondary schools across Brighton, Hove, and nearby Sussex towns. Whether you are an experienced education professional, a university graduate, a sports coach, or a performer, this is your chance to gain hands-on leadership experience with a complete 3:30 PM sign-off. Responsibilities:

Lead the Room:Oversee classes across Key Stage 3 and 4 in the absence of the regular teacher.

Guide Learning:Deliver pre-set work, answer pupil questions, and ensure students stay focused on their tasks.

Set the Vibe:Maintain positive classroom behavior using clear boundaries, encouragement, and calm authority.

End-of-Day Transition:Hand back completed work and submit brief, essential attendance notes before clocking out.

Qualifications:

Presence:Ability to command a room with enthusiasm and professional maturity.

Versatility:Backgrounds in education, youth work, sports coaching, or performing arts are highly valued.

Reliability:Standard availability during school hours (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM).

Vetting:Must hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
