One part-time permanent Waking Nights Scheme Support Officer in our project, Kerrigan, in Bridgend.
The Kerrigan Project provides support and accommodation for 9 people. The project is aimed at people who have complex needs including a combination of substance misuse, offending and mental ill-health.
We provide housing and support to improve mental and emotional health, reduce re-offending, access sustainable housing and maintain independence within the community. The people we work with are also encouraged and supported to develop life skills.
Your night will consist of:
You will work with people to truly make a difference in their life
Use your skills and talents to engage with people
Support people to achieve their potential
Develop your networking skills by working in partnership with external agencies
You will be responsible for Health and Safety checks along with other additional duties.
You will be the point of contact for our clients, whether they need advice, support, guidance, or somebody to talk to at the end of the day.
Our aim is to ensure we equip these individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to live independently. This is a challenging role as this service delivers intensive support around each client’s recovery before focus is put on the housing related support and you will be faced with complex behaviours and needs, including alcohol misuse, mental health, substance misuse, anti-social behaviour and offending behaviour.
