An Early Years Practitioner with a Level 3 qualification is needed in Wokingham to cover the morning and afternoon wraparound sessions at one primary school. Luma Education Recruitment is recruiting for an Ofsted-registered childcare provider running breakfast and after-school clubs in primary schools across Wokingham and Reading, some of which have a nursery, for children from preschool age up to Year 6. You'll work 7:30 to 9:00am and 2:45 to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, leaving the middle of the day free for study, family or school runs. You stay at the same school with the same children each day, on either a term-time only or an all year round contract.

About the Provider

An established, expanding childcare company that runs wraparound care and holiday camps on primary school sites, working in partnership with each school.

Your Day

- 7:30 to 9:00am: open breakfast club, greet children as they arrive, serve breakfast and get them ready for the school day

- 2:45 to 6:00pm: collect children from class, run snack time, then lead activities and play until parents collect

- Plan a mix of sport, arts and crafts, games and outdoor play across the week

- Keep ratios, registers, sign-in/out sheets and safeguarding records accurate for Ofsted

- Build relationships with children, parents and school staff

- Help at holiday camps during school breaks (all year round contracts)

What You'll Need

- A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential)

- Experience working with children aged 3 to 11

- Good knowledge of safeguarding and child protection

- Paediatric First Aid (desirable)

- A driving licence and access to a car (preferred, not essential)

This suits an upbeat, dependable practitioner who wants a regular split-shift pattern with daytime hours free.
