A part-time Level 3 Childcare Practitioner is needed in Wokingham for breakfast and after-school clubs run in local primary schools, some of which have a nursery. Luma Education Recruitment is recruiting for an Ofsted-registered childcare provider that runs wraparound care and holiday camps across Wokingham and Reading, for children from preschool age up to Year 6. Pick mornings, afternoons or both, with hours agreed around your other commitments, Monday to Friday only. Term-time only and all year round contracts are both available.

About the Provider

An established, expanding childcare company running its clubs on primary school sites in partnership with the schools, so children are looked after before and after school in a building they already know, with holiday camps during school breaks.

What You'll Be Doing

- Covering breakfast club, after-school club or both, on hours agreed with you

- Leading a mix of activities: sport, team games, arts and crafts and outdoor play

- Following the EYFS with preschool and Reception-age children and supporting the wellbeing and behaviour of every child

- Keeping ratios, registers and safeguarding records in line with Ofsted requirements

- Talking with parents at drop-off and collection and working alongside school staff

- Helping at holiday camps during school breaks (all year round contracts)

What You'll Need

- A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential)

- Previous experience with children in a childcare, nursery or school setting

- Good knowledge of safeguarding and child protection

- Confident, friendly communication with children, families and school staff

- Paediatric First Aid (desirable)

- A driving licence and access to a car (preferred, not essential)

This suits a reliable, caring practitioner who likes leading hands-on play and is looking for steady part-time hours.
