Agency Work | Flexible & Ongoing Opportunities

THE ROLE

We’re looking for caring, reliable and experienced Support Workers to join our agency team, supporting people experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity across a range of supported accommodation and homelessness services.

This is a varied role where no two shifts are necessarily the same. You could be supporting people with complex needs, mental health needs, substance misuse, challenging behaviour or other barriers to independent living.

Your role will be to provide practical, emotional and person-centred support while helping people take positive steps towards greater stability and independence.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Providing person-centred support to individuals experiencing homelessness.

Building positive, professional and trusting relationships.

Supporting residents with day-to-day needs and independent living skills.

Completing welfare checks and responding appropriately to concerns.

Supporting individuals with housing, health, wellbeing and practical issues.

Encouraging engagement with relevant services and professionals.

Supporting residents with appointments, benefits, budgeting and accessing community services where required.

Identifying and reporting safeguarding concerns.

Following individual support plans, risk assessments and service procedures.

Responding calmly and professionally to challenging or distressed behaviour.

Maintaining clear and accurate records and handovers.

Working alongside housing, health, social care and other support professionals.

Promoting independence, dignity, choice and respect at all times.
