Personal Assistant for a 11-Year-Old Boy with Autism

About

A personal assistant is required to support a happy and lively 11-year-old boy living in Egloskerry.

He has Autism and would like someone who he can build up a positive relationship with and provide him with some 1:1 support.

He would like someone to support him with his communication, developing confidence and his life skills. He loves cooking, shopping and socialising.

A personal assistant will enable him to enjoy activities in his local community.

Up to 5 hours per week are available, and this is flexible. Mainly weekend and school holiday availability will be required.

Car driver essential due to rural location.

The rate of pay is £13.45 per hour.

Some knowledge or personal experience of working with young people is essential. A full driving licence is desirable.

This is a rewarding opportunity to help a young person grow, gain independence, and make a meaningful difference in their life.

The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family, and not be employed or carry out work for Cornwall Council.
