Derby dog walker wanted, self-employed, the first applicant is already in

Job description

About

Derby was the first city where someone applied to WoofWalk through Find a Job, and we have no walker here yet, so there is room for three more people to get listed early.

WoofWalk is a UK app where dog owners book a local walker or sitter. You are self-employed. It is your small business: your prices, your hours and your bookings. Owners book and pay through the app, and we pay the money out to you. We do not employ you, there is no wage and there is no guaranteed income.

Derby prices from public listings: £14 to £16 for a half-hour walk, £20 to £23 for an hour, group walks around £15, home visits around £10, home boarding £23 to £50 a night. Yours are your own to set.

Darley Park, Markeaton Park, Allestree Park and Chaddesden Park take most of the walks. Derby's city-wide dog fouling order requires owners and walkers to pick up and to carry something to do it with.

Costs: nothing to join. First 14 days commission-free, then 15% of each booking, falling to 10% for life once five clients have joined through you. Your tax, your National Insurance and your insurance are yours to sort.

Parents with the school day free, shift workers and students all fit this. Over 18.

Apply through Find a Job and tell us which part of Derby you are in.
