Load Safety Checker - Spider is advertising on behalf of

Multimodal Solutions (part of DP World), who are looking for a

Load Safety Checker /

Load Safety Inspector to join their team at a customer site in

Deeside, Flintshire, Wales. This is a

full-time, permanent position, working

Monday to Friday, 9.30am-6.30pm (40 hours per week).

Salary:

£27,500-£28,500 per annum, depending on experience

About the role

You'll help keep transport operations safe and compliant by checking trailers, monitoring load restraint standards and supporting visiting LGV drivers.

Key responsibilities include:

- Welcoming drivers and delivering site inductions and safety briefings

- Inspecting trailers before loading and unloading

- Checking load configuration, security and restraint standards

- Supporting drivers with trailer preparation

- Supervising drivers on site and monitoring driver compliance with site safety procedures

- Recording safety concerns and reporting non-conformances

This is a site-based role involving outdoor work in all weather conditions.

About you

You'll have a good understanding of

health and safety within road haulage, transport, logistics or distribution, with the confidence to communicate effectively with HGV/LGV drivers.

You'll be organised, safety-conscious and comfortable working independently, with good attention to detail and basic IT skills.

Knowledge of

trailer types, LGV procedures and relevant HSE legislation would be advantageous, along with a

CCNSG Safety Passport.

A full, clean driving licence is essential.
