The Senior Electrical Engineer Opportunity

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of electrical building services projects, working closely with clients, architects, contractors and other engineering disciplines.

You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept and feasibility through to detailed design, construction and completion.

The consultancy works across an impressive variety of sectors, including:

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver electrical building services designs from concept through to completion.

• Produce electrical calculations, specifications, drawings and technical reports.

• Undertake electrical design using software including AutoCAD and Revit.

• Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting and associated building services installations.

• Attend client meetings and provide technical advice throughout the project lifecycle.

• Present electrical designs for internal and external technical reviews.

• Undertake site surveys, condition assessments and inspections.

• Review third-party designs and provide technical recommendations.

• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, mechanical engineers and contractors.

• Support project delivery, ensuring designs meet relevant technical standards, programmes and client requirements.

• Provide guidance and support to less experienced engineers.

About You

You will be an experienced Electrical Building Services Engineers who can demonstrate:

• A degree or equivalent higher education qualification in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

• Strong experience in electrical building services design within a consultancy environment.

• Experience delivering electrical designs across a variety of building types and sectors.

• Good working knowledge of electrical design software, particularly, AutoCAD and Revit.

• A sound understanding of relevant electrical regulations, standards and industry best practice.

• Experience attending client meetings and coordinating with multidisciplinary project teams.

• The confidence to manage technical responsibilities and contribute to successful project delivery.

• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

Chartered Engineer status, or working towards chartership, would be advantageous but is not essential.
