About

The post holder will support the Children's Continence Service in delivering high-quality care to children, young people and their families. Key responsibilities include: Undertaking continence product reviews and monitoring ongoing product provision to meet individual needs. Providing practical toilet training advice and support to children, families, schools and nursery settings. Assisting Specialist Continence Nurses during clinics and follow-up care. Delivering health promotion and education to encourage healthy bladder and bowel habits and independence. Supporting the continence product home delivery service by updating records and activating orders. Assisting nursing staff to resolve continence product issues, including complex fitting and sizing concerns. Maintaining accurate clinical records and contributing to service audits and data collection. Working in accordance with safeguarding, confidentiality and organisational policies. The post holder will work closely with: Children, young people and their families/carers. Specialist Continence Nurses and wider Children's Community Services. School Nursing and Health Visiting teams. Schools, nurseries and educational settings. GPs, Allied Health Professionals and Social Care colleagues. Continence product suppliers and home delivery providers. The role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and partner organisations to support the delivery of effective, child-centred continence care.
