About

We are looking for Production Operatives for day shift and our standard shift pattern. The role involves a variety of tasks in the production of high-quality aluminium. We are looking for candidates who show willingness to learn, and will be committed to delivering the high standard of production, adhering to strict HSE standards.

As part of the core tasks below, The Production Operator is responsible for ensuring they follow all required Safety Procedures (e.g. Risk Assessment & Pre-Use Checks) while carrying out their work. They must also proactively promote and participate in HSE & Continuous Improvement initiatives within the department, for example the reporting of Safety Hazards and being involved in improvement activities.

This is classed as a safety critical role on-site and involves a variety of tasks in order to produce high-quality Aluminium by following robust standard operating procedures.

Successful candidates will be invited to a Recruitment Event, planned for Wednesday 25th November. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Ensure all required Safety Procedures (e.g. Risk Assessment, Pre-use checks) are complied with
• Proactively promote and participate in all HSE initiatives within the department such as reporting of Safety Hazards, near misses and HSEQ improvements
• Conduct all tasks associated with the production of Aluminium to a high standard, strictly adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures
• Work towards set production targets and KPIs
• Carry out housekeeping tasks to maintain standards within the department
• Attend and participate in start of shift meetings and problem-solving activity
• Operation of cranes (both cab and pendant controlled)
• Transportation of molten Aluminium and Aluminium ingots
• Safely driving various vehicles on site (FLT’s & Tractor / trailer, sweeper)
• In addition to the above duties the Production Operator will be expected to show a level of flexibility to perform other tasks associated with the operation and work across departments if required.

 

HOURS

• Shift (3 days on, 2 days off - 3 nights on, 7 days off)
• Monday to Friday
