About

We are recruiting an experienced HGV Technician to join our newly established, modern commercial vehicle workshop in Wellingborough. This is a permanent night-shift opportunity for a skilled HGV Technician seeking excellent facilities, ongoing training and genuine career progression.

Duties:

- As an HGV Technician you will carry out inspections, servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs, trailers and other commercial vehicles

- Diagnose faults and complete repairs in line with DVSA standards

- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections and general workshop duties

- Identify worn or faulty components accurately

- Attend roadside breakdowns and emergency repairs when required

- Complete service records, warranty documentation and other relevant paperwork

- Maintain high standards of workshop cleanliness and stock control

- Work effectively both independently and as part of a supportive team

Requirements:

- Previous experience working as an HGV Technician or in a similar commercial vehicle maintenance role

- Level 3 qualification in HGV Maintenance and Repair, such as NVQ, City & Guilds or IMI

- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

- Full UK driving licence; Class 1 entitlement is advantageous but not essential

- Ability to work safely and accurately in accordance with DVSA standards

- MOT Licence is beneficial but not essential

- A professional approach to quality, safety and teamwork
