Learn about the role, responsibilities and what the employer is looking for.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced

Assistant Site Manager to join a

respected and well-established housebuilder in the Midlands, working on a

large-scale new-build housing development in Telford.

This is initially a

short-term opportunity, with the potential for the right candidate to move into a

long-term position.

Experience within large-scale new-build housing developments is essential. We are looking for someone who has a strong background in private housebuilding and is confident working in a fast-paced, volume-build environment.

The Role

Working closely with the Site Manager, you will assist with the day-to-day management of the development, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

You will be responsible for supporting the coordination of subcontractors and trades, monitoring progress, maintaining health & safety standards and ensuring work is completed in line with the company's high-quality requirements.

Requirements

  • Essential: Proven experience on

    large-scale new-build housing developments

  • Previous experience as an

Assistant Site Manager within new build housing

  • Experience with both

traditional build and timber frame construction

  • SMSTS preferred, although

    SSSTS will be considered

  • Valid

    CSCS card

  • Valid

    First Aid qualification

  • Strong understanding of residential construction, health & safety and site procedures

  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and trades

  • Good knowledge of build programmes, quality control and site management

  • Strong communication, organisation and leadership skills

  • Ability to work effectively within a busy, high-volume housebuilding environment

This is an excellent opportunity to join a

highly respected housebuilder on a substantial new-build development, with the potential for the role to become

long-term for the right person.
