Site Manager

Location: Shrewsbury, Shropshire

Duration: Immediate start through to Christmas at a minimum

Certifications Required: SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS

We are currently seeking an experienced

Site Manager to

oversee the early stages of a new-build housing development in Shrewsbury.

This role is specifically suited to a Site Manager with proven experience managing the initial stages of a new-build housing development, with a strong background in streetworks, civil engineering and groundworks. Experience of taking a development from the initial site setup and infrastructure stages is absolutely essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the early stages of a new-build housing development, from initial site setup through to infrastructure and groundworks.
• Overseeing streetworks, civils and groundworks packages.
• Coordinating subcontractors, labour and site activities to ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently.
• Monitoring programme progress and ensuring works are completed to the required quality standards and timescales.
• Maintaining high standards of health and safety across the site.
• Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and the wider project team.
• Ensuring all site documentation, inspections and health and safety procedures are kept up to date.

Essential Requirements

Proven experience as a Site Manager on new-build housing developments, specifically at the start of a development.

Strong experience with streetworks, civils and groundworks is essential.

• Valid SMSTS certificate.
• Valid First Aid certificate.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Excellent organisational, communication and subcontractor management skills.
• Must be readily available to start and committed through to Christmas at a minimum.
