Within this role you will be working as a Quantity Surveyor, reporting to the Operations Manager.

Your new role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working on a major infrastructure project, providing commercial support across a range of specialist civil engineering and construction packages. Your day-to-day will include:

• Managing the commercial administration of projects, ensuring contractual obligations are met and commercial processes are followed in accordance with NEC contracts
• Producing and maintaining cost forecasts, CVRs, valuations, applications for payment, and commercial reports to support effective project delivery
• Supporting change management activities, including compensation events, variations, and the assessment of commercial impacts arising throughout the project lifecycle
• Working closely with operational and project teams to monitor project performance, identify commercial risks and opportunities, and maximise project value
• Attending site regularly to assess progress, validate completed works, and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and key stakeholders
• Assisting with month-end reporting, cash flow forecasting, final accounts, and maintaining accurate commercial records throughout the project lifecycle

What you'll need to succeed - Sizewell C Clearance is needed/will have to be attained for this position

• Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, civil engineering, infrastructure, M&E, utilities, or specialist subcontracting environments
• A good understanding of NEC contracts and commercial management processes, including valuations, forecasting, change management, and cost control
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for cost optimisation throughout project delivery
• Experience working closely with operational teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure commercial objectives are achieved alongside successful project delivery
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across project teams and client organisations
• Previous experience on major infrastructure, energy, nuclear, utilities, or civil engineering projects would be highly advantageous, although candidates from other relevant construction sectors will also be considered
