Job description
Learn about the role, responsibilities and what the employer is looking for.
WoofWalk connects dog owners with self-employed local walkers through a booking app, and Corby currently has none. An owner in the town asked a local group for a walker this week and we could not help. We are looking for up to three walkers across Oakley Vale, Priors Hall Park, Kingswood and Danesholme, with East Carlton Country Park, the boating lake and Thoroughsale Wood close at hand.
No wage comes with this and there are no guaranteed bookings. It is your own small walking business, run through the app, with the prices, the hours and the patch all chosen by you. Owners book and pay in the app; payouts go to your bank.
On price: roughly 200 WoofWalk listings in October 2026 put an hour's solo walk somewhere between £12 and £28, and £18 was the midpoint. Other walkers set those figures, not WoofWalk.
How WoofWalk earns: it is free to join and there is no commission for your first 14 days. From then on 15% of each booking goes to WoofWalk, reducing to 10% once five of your own clients are on the app. Clients you bring yourself are charged at the lower rate from their first booking. Your own tax, National Insurance and insurance cover are for you to arrange.
Send over your area, your days and your price and we will prepare a draft profile for you to check. Already have clients? Bring them with you and run bookings, payments and GPS-tracked walks together in one app.
Applicants must be over 18, comfortable walking whatever the weather, and willing to meet every owner and dog first. Apply through Find a Job and mention the part of Corby you can serve.
