Your new company

You will be joining an established and highly regarded construction contractor delivering a diverse portfolio of projects across the North West.

Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team.

Your new role

As Project Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for construction projects, working closely with the wider project and commercial teams to ensure successful financial delivery.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the commercial performance of projects from pre-construction through to final account
• Procurement and management of subcontractor packages
• Preparing valuations, variations and cost reports
• Managing subcontractor accounts and payments
• Monitoring project costs, value and commercial risk
• Supporting forecasting and cash-flow management
• Working closely with operational and project teams
• Managing contractual and commercial correspondence
• Identifying opportunities for commercial improvement
• Supporting the successful agreement of final accounts

What you'll need to succeed

You will be an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background within the construction sector and the confidence to commercially manage projects with a good level of autonomy.

Ideally, you will have:

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Project Quantity Surveyor
• Main contractor construction experience
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
• Experience managing subcontractor procurement and accounts
• Good understanding of cost reporting, valuations and variations
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• A relevant construction or Quantity Surveying qualification would be advantageous
