About

Hays Education are working with a welcoming school in South Knowsley to recruit an experienced School Receptionist for a temporary assignment lasting approximately 4-6 weeks.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and professional administrator who enjoys working in a busy school environment and acting as the first point of contact for parents, visitors and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greeting and assisting parents, visitors and external agencies professionally
• Managing the school's busy reception area and telephone enquiries
• Using Arbor to complete pupil registrations and attendance administration
• Supporting with general administrative duties including filing, data entry and correspondence
• Handling incoming and outgoing post
• Providing administrative support to the wider school office team as required

Essential Requirements:

• Previous administration or reception experience, ideally within a school setting
• Experience using Arbor is highly desirable
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
