Payroll Assistant | Mostly Remote

£15.66 to £19.59 per hour

Contract | 35 hours per week | 4 days working from home

Are you an experienced Payroll professional looking for a new opportunity with excellent flexibility?

I am recruiting for an experienced Payroll Assistant to join a busy, fast paced payroll team based in Kirkintilloch.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong end to end payroll experience, ideally gained within a large organisation processing high volumes of payroll.

What's on offer?

* £15.66 to £17.33 per hour

* 4 days working from home, 1 day in the office

* 35 hours per week

* Contract ideally until April 2027

* Shorter term availability will also be considered

What I'm looking for:

* Strong end to end payroll experience, including processing payroll from start to finish

* Previous experience managing high volume payrolls within a large, fast paced organisation

* Confident processing salaries, overtime, deductions, statutory payments and pension contributions

* Good working knowledge of PAYE, National Insurance, SMP, SSP and other statutory requirements

* Experience maintaining accurate employee payroll records, including starters, leavers and changes to employment details

* Ability to investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time

* Confident handling payroll queries and liaising with employees and internal departments

* Strong Excel skills and experience using payroll systems

* Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to work to tight payroll deadlines

* Someone who can hit the ground running, work independently and support a busy payroll team
