Do you want a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference while supporting a young person to live an active and fulfilling life? Are you an experienced PA or teaching assistant?

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Personal Assistant to support a fun-loving and active 15 year old with Autism living in the Newquay area.

He can't wait to be taken on social activities with you and will love you helping him to build on life skills. He will make sure your reactions are lightning quick and charm you with his infectious laugh. Understanding of Autism would be essential and understanding of OCD & Tourette Tics.

He enjoys Christian based music, has a love of mathematics and would like to explore his faith more.

This role involves accompanying him on a variety of outdoor, all-weather activities, general recreation, engaging with other teens in the community while encouraging his independence and helping him develop essential life skills.

The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family and not be employed or carry out work for Cornwall Council.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All offers of employment will be subject to the successful candidate undertaking an enhanced DBS check, the administration process will be undertaken by Cornwall Council.
