QA Inspector / Technical Assistant - Passive Fire Protection

Hutton, Essex (CM13)

£40,000 - £50,000 DOE

Permanent | 40 hours per week

Search Consultancy are recruiting for an experienced QA Inspector / Technical Assistant to join an established passive fire protection contractor based in Hutton, Essex.

This is a technical, site-focused role suited to someone with strong experience across firestopping, compartmentation, QA and compliance who is confident inspecting installations, identifying defects and working directly with operatives, site teams and clients.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

- Carrying out QA inspections of firestopping and compartmentation works

- Inspecting installations and signing off remedial works

- Assessing installer competency and supporting improvement plans

- Delivering toolbox talks and technical briefings

- Supporting FIRAS audits and ISO compliance

- Completing pre-commencement site audits

- Advising on suitable passive fire products and systems

- Providing technical support to operational teams

- Contributing to project-specific passive fire solutions

What We're Looking For

Ideally you will have:

- Experience within passive fire, firestopping, compartmentation, QA or compliance

- Strong understanding of firestopping systems, manufacturer details and industry standards

- Experience carrying out inspections, snagging or quality checks

- Confidence working directly with installers and clients

- Strong reporting and organisational skills

- Level 3 qualification or relevant trade background

Desirable experience includes:

- IFE Level 2

- CSCS

- FIRAS exposure

- Passive fire design / compliance experience

- OneTrace, Bolster, Aconex or Viewpoint

- BIM platforms including Dalux, Navisworks or Revizto QA-Inspector-Technical-Assistan…
