This is a senior operational leadership position overseeing

up to five care homes, supporting Home Managers to deliver excellent standards of care while ensuring each service performs strongly from a quality, regulatory, people and commercial perspective.

The role is

home based, with regular travel across the region to provide visible leadership and hands-on support to the homes and their management teams.

The successful candidate must be a

qualified Nurse with an active NMC PIN and have strong experience operating within the nursing home sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for an established Regional Manager looking to join a premium provider offering a highly competitive package, including a salary of

£75,000 upwards, car allowance and an outstanding bonus structure.

The Role

As Regional Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the operational performance of a portfolio of care homes, working closely with individual Home Managers to ensure consistently high standards across the region.

You will provide leadership, direction and support to your management teams, ensuring they have the tools and guidance required to run successful, compliant and commercially strong homes.

A key part of the position will be maintaining a visible presence across the portfolio. You will regularly visit each home, build strong relationships with Home Managers and their teams, and identify opportunities to improve performance.

You will also act as a senior point of support when individual homes face operational challenges, helping management teams develop and implement clear improvement plans.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing operational leadership across a portfolio of up to five premium care homes.
  • Supporting, coaching and developing Home Managers to achieve consistently strong results.
  • Ensuring excellent standards of nursing and residential care are maintained across the portfolio.
  • Monitoring quality, compliance and regulatory performance across each service.
  • Ensuring homes remain fully prepared for regulatory inspections and that any areas for improvement are addressed effectively.
  • Driving a positive culture focused on residents, families and high-quality care.
  • Monitoring operational and commercial performance across the region.
  • Supporting homes to maintain strong occupancy levels and sustainable financial performance.
  • Reviewing key performance indicators and working with Home Managers to address areas requiring improvement.
  • Supporting recruitment, retention and succession planning across the portfolio.
  • Ensuring staffing structures remain appropriate to the needs of residents and individual services.
  • Providing leadership during periods of change or operational challenge.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider senior leadership team to deliver the organisation's operational objectives.
  • Sharing best practice across the portfolio and encouraging continuous improvement.
  • Maintaining a strong and visible leadership presence throughout the region.

About You

We are looking for an experienced senior care professional with a strong background in the nursing home sector.

You will need to be comfortable balancing

quality of care, compliance, people management and commercial performance, while building effective relationships with Home Managers and their teams.

Essential Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with an active NMC PIN.

  • Strong experience within the nursing home sector.
  • Proven multi-site operational leadership experience.
  • Experience supporting and managing Home Managers across multiple services.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards within adult social care.
  • A successful track record of improving and maintaining operational performance.
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills.
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of occupancy, staffing and financial performance.
  • Ability to identify underperformance and implement effective improvement plans.
  • Comfortable working autonomously within a home-based regional position.
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel regularly throughout the South of England.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will be an experienced and credible leader who can build strong relationships with Home Managers while also holding services accountable for performance.

You will be confident working at both a strategic and operational level, able to understand the wider objectives of the organisation while remaining close enough to individual homes to understand what is happening on the ground.

Experience operating within a

premium or luxury care environment would be particularly beneficial.

Package

The successful Regional Manager will receive:

  • Base salary of £75,000 upwards, depending on experience.

  • Car allowance.

  • Outstanding bonus structure.
