About

To provide supportive, person-centred assistance to a young autistic child with additional needs, enabling him to access community and leisure activities safely while promoting independence, social engagement, communication, and positive experiences outside of the family and school environment.

The employer is the parent/guardian of a 10-year-old child with autism and ADHD. The family is seeking a Personal Assistant to support the child in accessing community and leisure activities. The child is primarily non-verbal and uses a communication book to express wants and needs. The family values consistency, familiarity, outdoor activities, and a person-centred approach to support. The role requires close collaboration with the family to promote the child's independence, communication, and social development.
