About

Summary:

To drive vehicles up to 32 tonne as directed by management and to undertake other duties in association with the type of vehicle driven and/or the specific service that is being delivered.

Responsibilities:

Act as the lead operative with responsibility for the completion of all work allocated to the vehicle, safely and to a high standard.

Undertake vehicle checks on allocated vehicle at the start of every shift and ensure that it is legally compliant and roadworthy.

Comply with the Highway Code and all traffic laws, including the security and weight of loads. Operate the vehicle and all ancillary equipment such as tail lift and bin lift mechanisms in accordance with the training provided and in accordance with manufacturers instructions.

Complete logbooks fully and accurately either in writing or with the use of information technology where it has been provided.

Keep driving licence, Driver Qualification card (CPC licence) and Tacho card up to date.
