Our client is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Logistics Assistant to join their busy logistics team in Huntingdon.

This is a hands-on role where you'll play a key part in ensuring customer orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately. If you take pride in being organised, enjoy working within a warehouse environment, and have a keen eye for detail, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

The Role

You'll start each day by supporting the logistics operation with picking, packing, and stock control activities to help ensure all customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.

Working closely with the warehouse team, you'll check products against order requirements, carefully prepare goods for dispatch, and carry out quality checks to ensure the correct items are being shipped. You'll also assist with incoming deliveries, helping to unload and put stock away in the correct locations.

This is a varied role that requires flexibility, teamwork, and a proactive attitude. You'll support the wider logistics function wherever required, helping maintain an efficient and organised warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

Picking & Packing

• Pick items accurately against customer orders.
• Pack products securely and professionally for dispatch.
• Carry out quality checks on products, quantities, and batch numbers.
• Ensure orders are prepared and shipped within required timescales.

Stock Management

• Assist with unloading deliveries from suppliers and couriers.
• Accurately book stock into the warehouse system.
• Put stock away in designated storage locations.
• Help maintain organised and tidy stock areas.

Warehouse & Logistics Support

• Assist with inventory counts and stock checks.
• Support the wider logistics team with operational tasks.
• Maintain clean and organised packing stations and work areas.
• Follow company procedures for quality, safety, and stock handling.

Desirable

• Previous warehouse, logistics, picking, packing, or stock control experience.
• Experience using warehouse management systems or stock control software.
• Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and email systems.

Physical Requirements

• Comfortable being on your feet for much of the working day.
• Able to carry out light manual handling duties, including lifting products when required.
• Comfortable working within a warehouse environment.
