•

Assess, monitor and record pupil progress, identifying strengths, areas for development and opportunities for further challenge.

•

Use effective assessment strategies to inform lesson planning and support continued academic progress.

•

Support the development of essential literacy, numeracy, communication and problem-solving skills.

•

Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence, resilience, curiosity and a positive attitude towards learning.

•

Differentiate lessons to support pupils working at different attainment levels, including those who require additional support or greater challenge.

•

Provide inclusive learning opportunities for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and those learning English as an additional language (EAL), where required.

•

Identify barriers to learning and implement appropriate strategies to help pupils engage with the curriculum.

•

Establish clear classroom routines and use positive behaviour management strategies to promote a respectful and productive learning environment.

•

Build positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers, colleagues and support staff.

•

Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other professionals to support pupils' learning, progress and wellbeing.

•

Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures, ensuring pupils' safety and wellbeing remain a priority.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

•

•

A strong understanding of the primary national curriculum and effective teaching practices.
