Attendance Officer – The Role

As an Attendance Officer, you will play an important role in promoting good attendance, identifying patterns of absence and ensuring students receive the support they need to attend school regularly.

Your responsibilities will include:

•

Maintaining accurate electronic attendance registers and student records

•

Following up unexplained absences, lateness and truancy with parents and carers

•

Monitoring attendance data and producing reports for senior leaders

•

Attendance Officer – The School

This is a secondary school serving its local community, with a focus on supporting students to achieve positive outcomes both academically and personally.

The school recognises the importance of regular attendance in helping young people succeed. The successful candidate will work closely with pastoral staff, senior leaders, families and external partners to identify barriers to attendance and put appropriate support in place.

You will join a collaborative school team where communication, accurate record-keeping and a proactive approach are essential. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to students’ engagement with education and to support their wider wellbeing.
