• Maintaining accurate operational records and log sheets

• Supervising the safe return of vehicles, drivers and crews at the end of each shift

• Responding to customer and driver enquiries by telephone and email

• Assisting with fleet management, including arranging vehicle inspections and liaising with garages and suppliers

• Preparing daily shift registers, operational paperwork and end-of-day reports

• Liaising with Dial-a-Ride regarding schedule changes, cancellations and operational updates

• Ensuring safety procedures, vehicle checks and return protocols are followed

• Being willing to undertake driver training

Requirements

Essential

• A caring and patient approach, with a genuine interest in supporting elderly and disabled people

• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail

• Good written and verbal English communication skills

• A reliable and team-oriented approach

• A proactive and flexible attitude, with a willingness to learn

• A full UK driving licence

Desirable

• A D1 driving licence, although this is not essential, and support may be available to work towards obtaining one

What’s In It For You

• £30,000 per annum

• 23 days’ annual leave plus Bank Holidays

• A one-hour lunch break

• Full induction and paid, ongoing training

• Training in Microsoft Office, booking and scheduling systems, transport health and safety procedures, vehicle checks and operational processes

• A supportive team environment with a dedicated mentor

• Opportunities to develop and progress within transport operations

• Driver training for those interested in developing in this area

• A varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same
