Marketing Executive - 3-Month Contract

• Location: Manchester
• Salary: £32,000 equivalent
• Contract: 3-month contract
• Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Marketing Executive to join a busy marketing team on an initial three-month contract.

This is a varied, hands-on generalist marketing role supporting a wide range of activity across communications, digital marketing, commercialisation projects, events and stakeholder engagement.

Working closely with the Head of Marketing and wider project and portfolio teams, you'll help keep multiple pieces of activity moving, taking ownership of tasks and ensuring projects are followed through to completion.This would particularly suit someone who enjoys variety and has worked within a technology, fintech, science, innovation or similarly technical/professional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the delivery of day-to-day marketing and communications activity across the organisation.
• Produce, edit and proofread written marketing and communications materials.
• Support the marketing and commercialisation of projects, including branding and associated collateral.
• Work with Project Managers and internal stakeholders to coordinate marketing activity and ensure projects are delivered to deadline.
• Assist with outreach initiatives, campaigns and events.
• Draft and edit commercial documents, ensuring a consistently high standard of presentation and accuracy.
• Create and amend marketing materials using Adobe InDesign.
• Format, edit and distribute newsletters and other communications.
• Update website content and individual web pages, including checking links, contact information and general content accuracy.
• Work across multiple projects simultaneously, keeping actions moving and following tasks through to completion.
• Liaise confidently with stakeholders at all levels, including the CEO, COO, portfolio teams, project managers and international contacts.
• Work closely with colleagues across the wider organisation to ensure communications are accurate, professional and consistent.

Please note that social media is currently supported separately, so this is not a predominantly social-media-focused position.

We're looking for someone who can come in and make an impact quickly.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience in a broad Marketing Executive, Marketing Coordinator or generalist marketing role.
• Strong written communication, editing and proofreading skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, particularly when working with commercially sensitive or technical information.
• Experience producing and formatting professional documents and marketing collateral.
• Experience using Adobe InDesign.
• Confidence updating website content and working with digital communications.
• Strong organisational and project coordination skills.
• The ability to manage several different work streams and take tasks through to completion.
• A proactive, flexible approach and the confidence to work independently.
• Strong stakeholder-management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders.
• Ideally, previous exposure to a technology, fintech, science, innovation, or technical environment.
