Job Advert: General Operative (Warehouse) - Counterbalance FLT

Location: Birmingham (B40 - Marston Green)

Pay: £12.75 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

Contract: Long-term, ongoing for the right candidate

Overtime: Available during busy periods, paid at a flat rate

We're recruiting a

General Operative with a

Counterbalance Forklift certificate and

at least 12 months' experience in a similar role to join a busy, fast-paced operation supporting the production of

bespoke exhibition designs.

This is a hands-on role with a mix of duties:

approx. 70% general warehouse work and 30% FLT driving.

Key Responsibilities

• General warehouse duties: keeping work areas

clean, tidy and organised

Loading rubbish into skips and operating/assisting with

compacting machines

• Using a

Counterbalance FLT to move materials safely (around 30% of the role)

Lifting and moving panels when required

• Supporting the production team with exhibition build tasks, such as:Attaching

velcro trim to panels

• Assisting with

paintwork/finishing

• General practical tasks to help complete bespoke builds

What We're Looking For

Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (in-date)

Minimum 12 months' FLT/warehouse experience in a similar role

• Physically fit and comfortable in a

fast-paced environment

• Willing and able to lift throughout the shift - panels are generally lightweight, but you may be expected to lift

up to 25kg

• Reliable, safety-conscious and a good team player
