Location: Blaydon, North East

Job Title: HGV Class 2 / Category C Chain Skip Driver

Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00-17:00

The Best Connection is recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 Chain Skip Drivers for a leading waste management company based in Blaydon. The role involves delivering and collecting skips across Newcastle, Gateshead, Durham and the wider North East.

The Role:

• Operating an 18.5-tonne chain skip loader.
• Delivering and collecting skips from domestic and commercial customers.
• Securing loads and completing daily vehicle safety checks.
• Completing Waste Transfer Notes and other required paperwork.
• Following driver hours, tachograph and working time regulations.
• Providing professional customer service.

The Requirements:

• Valid UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph cards.
• Previous skip lorry or hook loader experience preferred.
• Ideally no more than six penalty points.
• Physically fit for manual tasks and load securing.
• Good geographical knowledge of Newcastle and the North East.

Hours and Pay:

• Monday to Friday.
• 07:00-17:00.
• £15.00 per hour.
