Senior Care Assistant - Winchester
Nurse Seekers are recruiting on behalf of a well-established care provider for a compassionate and experienced
Senior Night Care Assistant to join their dedicated team within a residential care setting.
The successful candidate will be a caring, reliable and approachable individual with strong leadership skills and a genuine desire to make a difference to the lives of others.
The Role
As Senior Night Care Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring residents receive exceptional care and support overnight, promoting their dignity, privacy, independence and overall wellbeing.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Providing high-quality, individualised care tailored to residents’ needs and preferences.
• Leading, supervising and supporting care staff throughout the night shift.
• Delegating duties effectively and ensuring care tasks are completed to a high standard.
• Monitoring residents’ wellbeing and responding promptly to their needs.
• Ensuring care plans, repositioning charts and relevant documentation are accurately completed.
• Supporting residents with bedtime routines, personal care, comfort and overnight refreshments.
Essential Requirements
• A minimum of two years’ experience working as a Care Assistant within a residential care setting.
• A completed Level 3 NVQ or Diploma in Health and Social Care.
• A compassionate, empathetic and person-centred approach to care.
• Previous experience or demonstrated ability in leading, supervising and motivating a team.
• Strong organisational, delegation and problem-solving skills.
• A flexible approach to working hours and a commitment to night-time care.
