Sunderland City Council, Adult Services, is recruiting two Team Managers to provide strong, supportive leadership within our community-based Adult Social Care teams.

About the Role

As a Team Manager, you will:

Lead, support and develop a team of social workers and assessment and review officers
Ensure safe, timely and strengths-based assessments, support planning and reviews
Champion person-centred practice and high professional standards
Work closely with health, housing and community partners to improve outcomes
Support integration with NHS colleagues and contribute to service improvement
Ensure practice is compliant with the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, safeguarding duties and other relevant legislationYou will play a vital role in creating a positive team culture, supporting staff wellbeing, and delivering high-quality services and support to Sunderland residents.

About You

Weandrsquo;re looking for someone who:

Is a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work Englandandnbsp;
Has at least 5 yearsandrsquo; post-qualifying experience in a statutory adult social care settingandnbsp;
Has proven experience of leading, supervising and motivating teamsandnbsp;
Has substantial post-qualification experience in adult social care. Ideally with community-based settings.andnbsp;
Has strong knowledge of adult social care legislation and policy frameworksandnbsp;
Can demonstrate commitment to strengths-based, inclusive and ethical practiceandnbsp;
Is confident working in partnership and responding flexibly to changing demandsandnbsp;
