Field Service Engineer - Permanent Role
Company location is Kettering
£35,000 - £40,000 d.o.e + regular overtime,
Monday to Friday 8.00am - 4.00pm

Due to constant business demands we are looking for a Service Engineer to join our clients already established team of Service Engineers. The company boasts fantastic longevity within their organisation and has always supports employees with career progression opportunities.
The Role
As a Field Service Engineer you will be working with industrial saws and various types of metal forming equipment which vary in size and application. You will visit customer premises to carry out both service and repair of equipment.
We would expect the successful Field Service Engineer to be able to demonstrate the ability to maintain and service high quality products by utilising their skills and experience, be an excellent communicator and representative of the company. You will be supported one to one to become familiar with the company processes and procedures.
Duties:
- To carry out service work on machinery within clients premises
- Diagnose, fault find and complete maintenance work required (of both a mechanical and electrical nature).
- Installation of machinery.
- Work as a key member within the Service Engineering team and supporting other engineers when required.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to clients.
- Answer client inquiries and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Conduct tests to ensure equipment is functioning correctly after installation or repair.
- Implement quality control procedures to maintain high standards of service.
- Completing all relevant paperwork including time sheets.
- Ensure all H&S regulations are always adhered to.
Skills Knowledge and Experience
- Full UK Driving Licence - Essential
- Relevant mechanical and electrical qualifications minimum of NVQ Level 3
- Field service engineering experience
- Experience of working with Industrial saws and metal forming equipment or Laser Jet, CNC Machining, and Robotics machinery would be ideal.
- Sound engineering knowledge of capital machinery - Industrial saws would be beneficial
- Good team member with a positive, proactive attitude to workload.
- Reliable and flexible approach to work, with a keen willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Having 17th or 18th Edition would be highly advantageous
