Pay up to £76,339 - £81,672 plus 28.97% employer pension contributions, hybrid working, flexible hours, and great work life balance.
DWP. Digital with Purpose.
We're looking for three Senior Product Managers to join mission-critical services across DWP Digital.
These roles offer a unique opportunity to shape the future of products that support millions of citizens and thousands of colleagues across the Department for Work and Pensions.
As a Senior Product Manager, you'll provide clear product leadership, set strategic direction and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver user-centred services that solve complex problems.
We are recruiting across three exciting product areas:
Bereavement, Care and Common Capabilities
The Bereavement and Care team designs and delivers digital services that support some of DWP's most vulnerable customers at critical moments in their lives. Our team is responsible for products that help citizens access bereavement and care-related support, while also providing colleagues with the tools and systems they need to deliver excellent customer service.
Health and Disability
The Health and Disability team delivers digital products and services that support the administration of health and disability benefits. Working at the heart of a significant data transformation programme, you'll define the future of data products and capabilities across the portfolio. The team is focused on improving how health data is captured, managed and utilised to enable better decision-making, enhance services and support strategic objectives across the wider Data and Analytics landscape.
Corporate Centre Services
Corporate Centre Services develops and supports the digital products and platforms that enable DWP colleagues to do their best work every day. Our team focuses on improving the employee experience through better systems, streamlined processes and innovative digital solutions.
If you're passionate about creating user-centred products, leading high-performing teams and delivering change that matters, we'd love to hear from you.
What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
- Experience of defining and communicating a compelling product vision and strategy, creating clarity of purpose, aligning teams around outcomes and driving the delivery of value for users and the organisation.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience of building alignment across diverse groups, balancing competing priorities and securing support for product decisions and roadmaps.
- Experience of using data, user needs and evidence to inform product decisions, translating insight into clear priorities that deliver measurable outcomes and continuous improvement.
- Experience of leading, coaching and developing product teams and communities, championing product thinking and embedding a user-centred, outcome-focused approach across teams and organisational boundaries.
You and your role
As a Senior Product Manager you will lead the strategy direction and delivery of products within one of DWP's complex and high-profile areas of work.
You know how to define a clear product vision, shape value-driven roadmaps and work across organisational boundaries to deliver services that meet user needs and business objectives.
Working with our expert multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders and senior leaders, you'll use data, insight and user research to drive decision-making, champion User Centred Design and lead transformational change. You'll be responsible for delivering measurable outcomes, tracking product performance and driving continuous improvement to maximise value and long-term sustainability.
You'll also provide leadership to Product Managers and product teams, supporting their development and building a strong product culture focused on user needs, innovation and delivery excellence.
And you'll make sure accessibility and inclusivity is at the heart of service design, so our services work for everyone.
Please note: Regular travel to other DWP Digital hubs will be required as part of this role (travel to other sites won't cost you anything). Further details can be discussed at interview.
