Your New Company
A specialist construction contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Slinger Signaller for a new-build school project in Leyland. This is a long-term opportunity on a major education scheme involving the installation of a solid timber frame structure, offering approximately 14 weeks of work for the successful candidate.
Your New Role
Starting Monday, you will be responsible for carrying out slinging and signalling duties to support lifting operations across the project. Due to the nature of the build, this is a hands-on role and you will be expected to work alongside the site team when lifting activities are not taking place.
Duties will include:
- Carrying out all slinging and signalling operations safely and efficiently
- Assisting with the installation of timber frame components
- Directing lifting operations and maintaining exclusion zones
- Supporting trades and operatives on site as required
- Assisting with general site duties and labouring tasks
- Maintaining a strong focus on health and safety at all times
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Valid CPCS or NPORS Slinger Signaller qualification
- Previous construction site experience
- Experience working around timber frame projects is advantageous
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to dig in and assist the wider site team when required
- Strong awareness of site health and safety procedures
