About Discovery
At Discovery, you'll find more than a job - You'll find purpose, belonging, and the support to thrive. Your voice matters, your wellbeing is prioritised, and your growth is celebrated. Together, we make a real difference - for the people we support and for you.
Thanks to our amazing teams, Dimensions Group has been accredited as a Great Place to Work for 2025 — our seventh consecutive year of recognition.
About the role
At Vesuvio, every day is a chance to make a genuine difference in someone's life. You'll be supporting five wonderful people, one woman and four men aged between their 50s and 70s, each with their own personalities, preferences and ways of experiencing the world. The people you support live with a range of physical disabilities, learning disabilities, epilepsy and complex health needs, and rely on a dedicated team to help them live their lives with dignity, comfort and choice.
This is a hands-on role where you'll provide personalised support with daily living, including personal care, mobility assistance, medication and mealtimes. More importantly, you'll take the time to build meaningful relationships, understand what matters to each person, and support them to enjoy life in ways that are important to them.
The role could involve supporting someone to enjoy a trip to a local café, country park or community event, while another might be spent enjoying music, sensory activities, gardening, arts and crafts, baking, or helping someone pursue a favourite hobby. You'll celebrate achievements, encourage independence and create opportunities for fun, connection and new experiences.
You'll be part of a friendly, supportive team that works closely together to provide outstanding care. If you're compassionate, reliable and believe everyone deserves a great life, we'd love to hear from you.
Shifts include 7am-2pm and 3pm-10pm with weekend working.
Driving licence: Preferred due to rural location and no public transport links
About you
You're someone who brings genuine compassion, patience and dignity to every interaction, staying calm and steady even in a busy, fast-paced environment. You're detail-minded and safety-focused, able to follow care plans, support with full personal care and use hoisting equipment confidently.
You communicate clearly, build trust easily and balance working well within a large team with being confident when lone working. Creative and positive, you enjoy getting involved in meaningful activities—whether that's swimming, baking, arts and crafts or trips out—and you encourage healthy routines and independence wherever possible. You're organised, proactive and values-driven
