This is the expectation and commitment. And we'd like you to be part of it.

Who We Are

Compass Community School Victoria Park is a specialist SEMH school in Tipton, Sandwell. Recognised by Ofsted for its "big heart", we are seeking a Deputy Headteacher with experience in primary teaching and learning, reading and phonics.

Our children come from a wide range of backgrounds, but all have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Many also have additional SEND, including Autism, ADHD and communication difficulties.

As a trauma and attachment-informed organisation, all staff receive extensive therapeutic training and support.

Our child-centred approach brings together education professionals, therapists, families and local authorities to achieve the best outcomes for every child.

You will work closely with the Executive Headteacher, Deputy Director of Education, Head of Teaching, Learning and Curriculum, Regional SENCO and colleagues across the wider Compass network.

The role includes leadership responsibility, partnership working with external agencies, supporting school improvement and a teaching commitment.
