Payroll Assistant

Permanent and Full-time; potential for Hybrid work

£27-30,000 per annum

Gloucestershire

Step into a role where you can build your payroll skills in a supportive, friendly team of four. You'll help deliver accurate and timely payroll services across a variety of clients and industries, gaining hands‑on experience and growing your confidence.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting payroll processing across weekly, fortnightly, and monthly cycles
• Preparing payroll data including time sheets, starters/leavers, and basic adjustments
• Responding to payee queries and providing friendly, helpful customer service
• Assisting with statutory payments such as SSP, SMP, and holiday pay
• Learning payroll systems - full training provided on in‑house software
• Supporting compliance tasks including RTI submissions and basic HMRC liaison under supervision

What you'll bring

• A basic understanding of payroll processes and statutory payments
• Good communication skills and a keen eye for accuracy
• A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn
• Confidence using Microsoft Office and general admin systems
