We have an exciting full‑time opportunity for a Dietetic Support Worker, based at Basildon Hospital, offering a varied and rewarding role across both Adults and Paediatric Dietetic Services.

This unique post is split equally between adult and children’s services, giving you the chance to develop a broad skill set while supporting patients at different stages of life. You’ll work closely with dietitians to help deliver high‑quality inpatient and outpatient care, contributing directly to positive patient outcomes.

Your day‑to‑day work will be diverse and hands‑on, supporting nutritional assessments, care planning, follow‑up appointments and service delivery across busy clinical settings. You’ll be an integral part of a friendly, supportive multidisciplinary team who value collaboration, learning and patient‑centred care.

If you’re organised, motivated, and passionate about nutrition and healthcare—and enjoy working with both adults and children—this role offers an excellent opportunity to grow your experience while making a meaningful difference to patients and families every day.

Supporting other sites will be required at times within this role. This may be remote support by email, telephone or electronic systems, or travel to other sites to provide in-person support.

If this sounds like the role for you, please apply today.

To carry out a range of nutrition-related clinical support, administrative and clerical duties under the supervision and direction of registered dietitians, supporting both the adult and paediatric dietetic services. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Assist patients to improve their nutritional status

• Help monitor patients as directed by the Dietitians

• Collect clinical and other information relevant to dietetics

• Organise and prioritise own clinical caseload
