Job Title: Commercial/Procurement Officer

Job Type: Permanent

Start Date: ASAP - depending on security clearance

Salary: DOE

Location: Bristol, UK

Hours of work: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday - 2-3 days per week in office/onsite

What You'll Do

* Develop procurement and commercial documentation (e.g. strategy, tender documents etc.), leading where appropriate.

* Manage contracts end to end

* Manage supplier performance

* Identify and mitigate risks

* Support tendering and negotiation activity

* Ensure governance and compliance

What You Will Bring

* Experience in procurement or contract management

* Some experience of managing risks and supplier performance

* Understanding of project/programme management

* Strong commercial judgement

Qualifications

* Professional qualification(s) in Business, Procurement/Supply Chain Management, Law, Project Management or a similar relevant discipline, or an equivalent level of relevant experience. This may include being part way through the study of these qualifications.

* Trained in, or holds a sufficient level of experience in public sector procurement.

Bonus Skills

* Government procurement experience

* Knowledge of NEC, FIDIC or JCT

UK National Security Vetting Status - All candidates must be able to obtain SC clearance
