What is the job role?

We are looking for a registered social worker to work in Adult Social Care Intake Duty team. This is an exciting time to join this fantastic and committed team who respond to safeguarding and changes in circumstances in relation with adults from age 18 years and upwards.

This motivated team deal with referrals in relation to unallocated caseloads and Safeguarding. There is a vacancy in our adult intake team working with individuals with presentation of care needs

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Who are we looking for?

You will need to have a recognised professional Social Work qualification (MA/BA/BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work or CQSW) and Social Work England registration.

We are looking for a motivated Social worker with a range of experience . We need people with knowledge of social work practice and legislation including the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005, a good understanding of personalisation, and excellent assessment and analysis skills.

You will be committed to achieving the best for the people of Coventry. You will be joining a great team of people who are passionate about the city, its people, and its exciting prospects.

You will be able to make confidently make decisions around Safeguarding and responding to urgent concerns in a timely manner.
