Hours: Monday to Thursday - 07:00 - 16:30, Friday 07:00 - 12:00

Pay: £16.56 per hour

We are looking for an experienced

Welder Fabricator to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding a range of bespoke storage and handling equipment, as well as structural steel components.

Working from engineering drawings, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality products while ensuring projects are completed safely and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• MIG weld mild steel components and assemblies.
• Fabricate bespoke storage and handling equipment from engineering drawings.
• Measure, cut, drill, and prepare materials for manufacture.
• Assemble and weld structural steelwork and storage systems.
• Operate fabrication machinery and workshop equipment safely.
• Carry out quality checks to ensure work meets specifications.
• Work to production schedules and meet agreed deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures.
• Assist with installation projects when required.

Requirements

Essential

• Previous experience as a

Welder Fabricator in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

• Strong

MIG welding experience.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience working with mild steel and structural metalwork.
• Competent using fabrication tools and workshop machinery.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive, proactive approach with good problem-solving skills.

Desirable

• Experience manufacturing storage systems, racking, mezzanine flooring, or materials handling equipment.
• TIG welding experience.
• Overhead crane experience.
• CSCS Card (advantageous but not essential).
