SPLOTT/ROATH, CARDIFF

PERMANENT FULL TIME

WORKING HOURS: Monday to Thursday, 8:30am-5:00pm | Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm

SALARY £28500 - £29000

Are you working in a finance or accounts role and looking for an opportunity to broaden your experience and develop your skills?

We're recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join the established finance team of a successful national business at its Cardiff head office.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who already has some hands-on finance experience and would like to build on their knowledge, take on a variety of responsibilities and continue developing their career.

What You'll Be Doing

• Working alongside an experienced finance team, your responsibilities will include:
• Assisting with monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
• Preparing monthly accruals and prepayments.
• Completing account reconciliations and checking financial records.
• Processing and checking invoices to ensure accurate cost allocation.
• Helping maintain the fixed asset register.
• Assisting with VAT returns and stock reconciliations.
• Responding to finance queries from colleagues across the business.
• Supporting the wider finance team with general accounting and administrative duties.

We're interested in hearing from candidates who have:

• Previous experience as a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, Finance Administrator or in a similar role.

Practical experience of accruals and prepayments - essential.

• Some exposure to month-end accounting processes.
• Good Excel skills and confidence using accounting systems.
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop.

We're looking for someone with a good foundation in finance who is keen to build on their existing experience.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday office based, 08.30-5pm 4pm finish on a Friday.
