Art & DT Technician - Batley Secondary SchoolLocation: West Yorkshire

Are you a practical, organised and creative person looking for your next role in education?
Hays Education is looking for an enthusiastic Art & Design Technology Technician to support the school's busy Art and DT department for approximately four weeks from 2nd November.
This would be a fantastic opportunity for an experienced school technician, or somebody with relevant Art, Design Technology, workshop or practical support experience who is looking to work within a school environment.
The roleWorking alongside the Art and DT team, you'll help ensure lessons are properly prepared, and the department runs smoothly day to day.
Duties may include:
- Preparing equipment and materials for Art and DT lessons
- Setting up classrooms and practical workspaces
- Organising and maintaining equipment, tools and resources
- Supporting teachers with practical lesson preparation
- Keeping stock and resources organised
- Helping maintain a safe, tidy and effective working environment
- General administrative and departmental support when required
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Previous Art or DT Technician experience
- Experience working within a school or education setting
- Strong practical and organisational skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a busy department
- Good attention to detail
- A positive, flexible and proactive approach
Experience within an Art, DT, workshop or practical environment would be particularly welcome.
